I enrolled myself into Foothill college Spring of 2013. Although it had been nearly a decade since I last stepped foot in a classroom, I was passionate about building my future. Nervous about what to expect, I quickly motivated myself and stepped into a routine. I was able to progressively manage my daily tasks as I groomed myself into an ideal college student. I still have much to learn and I will never be perfect but I am proud of where I’ve been and where I’m going.
Considering I am much older than the average community college goer, I am fixed on generating the idea that I may classify myself under an adult student identity. This means I hold values of character, passion, and purpose as a part of who I am as a student. To be clear, I am not saying that younger individuals in college are not capable of such values or that most adults may not hold themselves to these standards. However, these are the fundamentals I adhere to, and live up to, in order to set fire to my motivated spirit and become successful in college.
